Financial Aid Application

Two quick steps that can make a big difference.

At KCTCS Online, we believe that everyone deserves a quality higher education, regardless of their financial circumstances. That's why we offer financial aid to students who are pursuing a degree, diploma or certificate. Aid packages come in the form of grants, scholarships and student loans.

To apply for financial aid, you just complete two main steps:

Step 1: Complete the FAFSA

The federal government requires student who want financial aid to complete the FAFSA online.
To simplify the FAFSA process, gather the following required documents and other information before you start.

  • Determine Your Dependency Status
  • Students & Parents Apply For a PIN
  • FAFSA on the Web Worksheet
  • Select School Code

    Congratulations! You're ready to start the online FAFSA application.

    Step 2: Complete the Declaration of Enrollment and the Acknowledgement of Understanding and Agreement

    Before you can apply for financial aid with KCTCS Online, you need to complete the admissions process. Then you'll have all the information you need to create a student account and log onto Student Self-Service, our online system for managing your classes and payments.

    1. Using your username and password, log onto Student Self-Service .
    2. Under Finances, click Financial Aid.
    3. Complete the "Declaration of Enrollment" and the "Acknowledgement of Understanding and Agreement."

    Soon after, you'll receive an email notifying you of your financial aid award. That's it!
